A New Year Family Tradition

Posted by: Steven Wand in Untagged  on

For the past several years, on January 1st, Cynthia and I and our two daughters curl up by the fire and engage in our family tradition of letting go of the past and embracing the future.

One at a time, we each open our sacred envelope that contains the previous year's goals and desires and read aloud to the family each one, sorting them into two piles, one representing "yes" that did happen and "no" that didn't and sometimes a third pile is created for the "kind-of-happened" desires written down 365 days earlier.

Once we've each assessed how the year went and acknowledged our accomplishments as well as where we came up a little short we each begin to write down our new year's desires and then declare them out loud to the family before we hermetically seal them in the new envelope or be posted visibly as a reminder(this is each person's choice).

Our family had a most abundant Christmas eve dinner with family and a beautiful Christmas day filled with wonderful presents, delicious home-made breakfast rolls made by Cynthia, hours of game playing and a trek in a winter storm to see a Christmas movie.  It was picture perfect.

I can safely say  this has been my most abundant Christmas celebration of my life.  Not because of the quantity of presents we purchased or the number of gifts I unwrapped  but because of what's growing within me... my magic Presence.

This holiday season, unlike any other, I am filled with more peace, more trust, more present moment consciousness, more love and gratitude than ever before. I am filled with the qualities of my heart, the qualities of my own magic Presence that gives me life in this body and it is indeed the best presence I could ever hope to receive!

I was scanning our local newspaper the other day reading the growing list of what our new president-elect gets to tackle, officially beginning on January 20, 2009.

The list is daunting and the road ahead appears to be arduous.  But does it have to be?

Just as it is in one's own personal life, there's an ongoing shopping list of things that are not perfect, things that need to be addressed and made right.  If  we focus on everything that is broken, feel overwhelmed by them and then become immobilized the best we can expect in the future is more of the same.

Part of Cynthia's and my approach to supporting our client's personal and spiritual growth is the use of visualizations, grounding and meditation.  We start every coaching session with a process of connecting from the heart and calling in the Light to expand within us and out from us.

It's an amazing experience that serves both client and coach.  It allows us to tap into our own higher wisdom, connect with our client on a deeper level and it also assists our client to do the same with us.

This morning was yet another incredible connecting opportunity with my clients, a husband and wife.

On Tuesday night, fifteen of us gathered and seeds were planted in the new miracle matrix being created by individuals gathering with the intention of raising their consciousness.

It was an auspicious beginning to our work with Create Miracles Now.

If you're ready to be a part of this new, exciting paradigm where miracles can become a part of your daily experience then we invite you to join us.
