So many images come to mind when we contemplate dark and light. In art you may see a charcoal sketch with gradations of black moving towards dark grey to light grey to white. You may see a yin/yang symbol, morning vs. nighttime, or how one candle can illuminate a dark room.
This is also the time of Winter Solstice. The darkest day of the year only to be followed by increasing amount of light, day after day thereafter. Check out Cynthia's blog to learn more.
We ask the question on our home page, "are you ready to love your life?" It's a simple question but one that requires deep contemplation before answering. Loving your life requires you loving the "all" of you - both dark and light and that's what we teach our clients.

"I saw the angel in the marble and carved to set him free." A great quote from the master artist, Michelangelo and speaks beautifully to what the path of living could be about if we choose it.

I know for me it has been my personal quest – to chip away, each day, at that which is covering over the beauty, the wisdom, the compassion that is within. This is the work that we've each come here to do but many choose to never pick up the hammer and chisel and lovingly apply it to themselves to uncover the magnificence that is hidden by the negative beliefs, thoughts, words and actions.
